CCM's response to Flood Humanitarian Relief

  1. CCM made a nation-wide appeal to its member churches for Relief Funds. One or two organisations have thus far responded.

  2. We are aware that the CCM member congregations in the areas affected are responding to the plight for their members and others in the community admirably.

bulletFor example, the Chinese and Tamil Methodist congregations in flood-affected areas in Johor are collecting house and kitchen utensils to distribute to families.
bulletWhat is needed is for the congregations to collect household items in good conditions that can be distributed to the families affected.
bulletIf a congregation wants to organise a collection action the congregation, you can contact CCM, so that we can give you the names of contact persons to whom the materials could be sent.
bulletMost wished for items: mattresses, cooking utensils, electrical appliances, beds, paints, etc.
  3. If there are volunteers willing to extend help, you can contact CCM, and we will put you into contact with government or church-based relief action.

  4. Let us continue to pray for families affected and aid workers, that rehabilitation will be effective and communities can return to a normal life once again.
