CCA Delegation Visits CCM

CCA delegation comprising members of the 13th General Assembly Preparation Committee visited CCM in order to begin preparations for the Assembly that will be held in Kuala Lumpur, 14-20 April in the year 2010.

At the meting various aspects of the anticipated General Assembly was discussed.

Over 450 people comprising delegates, observers, ecumenical guests will attend the Assembly. The CCA General Assembly which meets every 5 years, is the highest legislative body, and in its deliberations, evaluates and plans programmes and elects its Presidents, General Committee and Programme Committees.

The CCM as local hosts hopes to engage its member churches to welcome delegates from the different parts of Asia. It also plans to offer a plenary session on Malaysia.

The joint CCA/CCM Organizing Committee will be forming sub-committees in order to start the process of planning for the Assembly.
