Orang Asli Meets with Dompok
The CCM arranged for the Representatives of the Persatuan Orang Asli of Perak (POAM) paid a courtesy call on Tan Sri Bernard Dompok in his office in Putrajaya on 8th July.
During the meeting they were able to share about the work they were doing in order to preserve their culture, protect their rights and promote activities to unite their people.
Tan Sri Bernard was impressed by the pro-active attitude of POAM in spite of being a very small ethnic minority in the country.
An invitation was extended to him to officiate at their annual Orang Asli celebrations on 19th July which he gladly accepted. It was one way to build friendship between indigenous communities from East and West Malaysia.
