CFM CHRISTMAS GREETINGS

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and goodwill to all people” (Luke 2:14).

This was the message that the angels brought to the world to herald the birth of Jesus Christ.

CFM calls all Christians this Christmas to recommit themselves to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. He lived in all humility among people, sharing fellowship, preaching love and healing the hurts of those whose lives were broken, spiritually or physically. Let us become worthy instruments of God in heralding the same kind of message in our country.

This year we have seen developments in our country that is worrying. The peace and goodwill Malaysians have enjoyed as a country that is united in its diversity, is now being threatened.

The Churches will continue to work with a spirit of peace and goodwill with Malaysians of all ethnic and religious communities in order to ensure our country will continue to be just and progressive. One of the challenges of a progressive society is to ensure that the rights of all citizens as guaranteed in the constitution are safeguarded.

The CFM wishes all Christians a Blessed Christmas and may the joyous time of fellowship within the family, among friends and neighbours be meaningful and lasting.

As the angels proclaimed blessings of peace and goodwill, may we continue to pray for the well-being of our nation, our leaders, and our neighbours. We especially remember in our prayers all those affected by the floods in various states in our country.

May the love of Christmas be born in all the hearts of Malaysians this day and throughout the New Year.
