CCM Johor Regional Committee AGM

The AGM which was held on 16th June at 2.30pm at the St. Christopher’s Church in Johor Bahru brought together 17 pastors and lay people representing the different CCM member churches.

In his opening address, the Chairman, Pastor Joseph Hiow Nyit Long expressed appreciation for the spirit of unity among the churches in J.B. A number of ecumenical activities have been successfully carried out in the past year.

The churches have cooperated well in running the Kong Kong Christian Cemetery and a special committee has been set up to study the “Rules and Constitution of J.B. Cemetery Board”. The AGM also spent some time deliberating on a Christmas programme that will bring all churches together to put up a choir concert with the state dignitaries present. As part of its future efforts, a CCM fund-raising dinner is also envisaged for next year. 

The General Secretary of CCM who was present at the AGM commended the officers of the committee for a good work they are doing in J.B. He also clarified issues as members raised questions on a few matters.

Secretary: Rev. Dennis Raj
Treasurer: Pastor Solomon Thangaiah

CCM looks forward to cooperating actively with the new committee.
