Solidarity letter from Council of World Mission to Gereja Presbyterian Malaysia

Dear Elder Mok and Fong Yang

Greetings from London, where persistent snow and sub-zero temperatures have been disrupting live and routines in the UK. I am sure that the weather is more agreeable in your part of the world.

We have seen the disturbing reports concerning the attacks on church buildings and threat to Christians over the right of Christians to use the term ‘Allah’ to refer to God. We wish to assure you of our thoughts and prayers of solidarity at this time.

Please let us know how things are generally in the country and how we may be of assistance, apart from a statement of solidarity which we will issue still this week.
